let the base be x cm
height = x+6 cm
area= 1/2*x*(x+6)
108= x^2+6x/2
216=x^2+6x
x^2+6x-216=0
x^2+18x-12x-216=0
x(x+18)-12(x+18)=0
(x-12)(x+18)=0
x=12,-18
therefore
base= 12 cm
height = 12+6=18cm
height = x+6 cm
area= 1/2*x*(x+6)
108= x^2+6x/2
216=x^2+6x
x^2+6x-216=0
x^2+18x-12x-216=0
x(x+18)-12(x+18)=0
(x-12)(x+18)=0
x=12,-18
therefore
base= 12 cm
height = 12+6=18cm
