Answer:

base = 2

height = 9

Step-by-step explanation:

Since height is 7 cm more than the base

Height = ( b+7)

Let b be the base .

Therefore area = 1/2 b × h

9 = 1/2 × b(b+7)

18=b^+ 7b

0= b^+7b-18

0=b^+9b-2b-18

0=b(b+9)- 2(b+9)

0=(b+9) (b-2)

Therefore either b = 2 or b = -9

But length can never be in negative . We reject -9

Base = 2

Height = 2+7=9
