Solution:-

Given:-

It is an equilateral triangle.

Side = 16 cm

To Find:-

Height.

Formula:-

Height = \frac{\sqrt{3} *side}{2}

By The Problem:-

Height = \frac{\sqrt{3}* side}{2}\\ Height = \frac{\sqrt{3}* 16}{2}\\ Height = 8\sqrt{3} \:cm

Answer:-

8\sqrt{3} \: cm

Other Way:-

Step 1 :-Draw an equilateral triangle ABC with AD as altitude.

Step 2 :- So, we get a Right angle triangle ADB Right angled at D.

Step 3:-    AB = 16 cm

         BD = 8 cm---(As altitude of an equilateral triangle is equal to Median and Median divides a triangle  into two equal parts.)

And, AD = x cm

It is  a Right angle triangle. So, we can apply Pythagoras theorem.

(AB) ² = (AD)²+(BD)²

(16) ² = x² + 8²

256 = x² + 64

x² = 256-64

x=\sqrt{192}

x = 8\sqrt{3} \:cm
