Given : an equilateral triangle of side 5 cm is:

To Find : Height

Solution:

Equal Sides = 5

s = ( 5 + 5 + 5)/2 = 15/2

Area using heron formula

= √(15/2)15/2 - 5)(15/2 - 5)(15/2 - 5)

= (1/4) √15*5*5*5*5

= 5√3 / 4  cm²

Area of triangle = (1/2) * base * height

= (1/2) * 5 * h

 (1/2) * 5 * h= 5√3 / 4

=> h = 5√3/2

The height of an equilateral triangle of side 5 cm is 5√3/2 cm
