the height of mount everest is 8848 meters above sea level. A man starts descending from the top of mount everest. Find the height at which the man is from sea level after 16 hours if he descends 473 meters an hour.

Please solve and explain it.

speed=distance/time
speed * time=distance
Here we have speed= 473m per hour
and time=16 hours
putting the values into formula we get
distance=7568m
Now subtracting it from total distance we get
8848-7568=1280m
So it is 1280m above sea level
