Correct Question :-

The height of the parallelogram is one third of it area of parallelogram is 192cm² find its height and base

Given :-

• Area of parallelogram is 192cm²

• The height of the parallelogram is 1/3rd of its area

To Find :-

• Height and the base of the given parallelogram

Solution :-

Let the base and height of the parallelogram be

x and 1/3x

Now,

We know that,

Area of parallelogram = Base * Height

Subsitute the required values,

192 = x * 1/3x

192 = x²/3

192 * 3 = x²

x² = 576

x = √576

x = √ 24 * 24

x = 24

Hence, Base of the parallelogram is 24cm

Height of the parallelogram

= 1/3 * 24 = 8cm.

$olution:

Let the height of the parallelogram be h cm and base be b cm.

According \:  to  \: the  \: question \:  h=  \frac{1}{3} b

Area  \: of \:  parallelogram= base  \times  height

b \times h = 192

 =  > b \times  \frac{1}{3} b = 192

 =  >  {b}^{2}  = 192 \times 3

 =  >  {b}^{2}  = 576

 =  > b =  \sqrt{576 \:  \: }

 =  >  \: b = 24 \: cm

But \: given \: h =  \frac{1}{3} b

 =  >  \: h =  \frac{1}{3 }  \times 24

 =  >  \: h = 8 \: cm

Height \: of \: the \: parallelogram \:  = h = 8 \: cm

Base \:  = b = 24 \: cm
