Given :

  • The height of parrallogram is one third of it base.

  • The area of parrallogram is 108 cm².

To find :

  • it's base and height =?

Step-by-step explanation :

Let, the base of the parallelogram be, x cm.

Then, the height of the parallelogram be, x/3 cm.

As We know that,

Area of parallelogram = Base × Height

Substituting the values in the above formula, we get,

➮ 108 = x × x/3

➮ 108 = x²/3

➮ x² = 108 × 3

➮ x² = 324

➮ x = 18.

Therefore, We got the value of, x = 18.

Hence,

The base of the parallelogram, x = 18 cm.

Then, the height of the parallelogram, x/3 = 18/3 = 6 cm.

✰✰ ANSWER ✰✰

\longmapsto\tt{Let\:the\:base\:of\:parallelogram=y}

As Given that height of parallelogram is of its Base.So,

\longmapsto\tt{Base\:of\:Parallelogram=\dfrac{y}{3}}

\longmapsto\tt{Area\:of\:parallelogram={108cm}^{2}}

Using Formula : -

\longmapsto\tt{\small{\boxed{\bold{\bold{\red{\sf{Area\:of\:parallelogram=base\times{height}}}}}}}}

Putting Values : -

\longmapsto\tt{108=x\times\dfrac{y}^{3}}

\longmapsto\tt{108=\dfrac{{y}^{2}}{3}}

\longmapsto\tt{108\times{3}={y}^{2}}

\longmapsto\tt{324={y}^{2}}

\red\longmapsto\:\large\underline{\boxed{\bf\green{y}\orange{=}\purple{18}}}

So,The Value of y is 18..

Now ,

\longmapsto\tt{Base\:of\:parallelogram=x}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{18cm}

\longmapsto\tt{Height\:of\:parallelogram=\dfrac{x}{3}}

\longmapsto\tt{\cancel\dfrac{18}{3}}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{6cm}
