Answer:

The volume of the tank is 80 cm^3

The height is 2m, length 3 m

so, breadth =?

we know,

Volume = height x length x breadth

80= 2x3x?

?= 80/ 6

so breadth is 13.33 cm and length is the same as given in the ques.

Answer:

Length = 8 Breadth = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Vol of cuboid = l x b x h

Let breadth be Xm

then lenght = (X+3)m

height = 2m

Vol of tank = 80m^3

Therefore

80m = 2 x (X+3) x X

80m = (2X + 6) x X

80m = 2X^2 + 6X

80m = 2X^2 + 6X/2

X^2 + 3X - 40 = 0

X^2 + 8X - 5X - 40 = 0

X(X + 8) - 5 (x + 8) = 0

(X - 5), (X + 8)

X = +5, -8

breadth cannot be in -ve

Therefore X = 5

Breadth = 5

Length = X + 3

            = 5 + 3

            = 8
