Question:-

A triangle whose area is 24 cm² and base is 8 m. Find it's height.

Given:-

  • Area = 24 m²

  • Base = 8 m

To find:-

  • Height of the triangle

Concept:-

Here, we are given that a triangle whose area is 24 m² and base is 8 m. We have to work out the height by using the formula.

~We know that

Area of a triangle = 1/2 × b × h

~Where

b = base

h = height.

Solution:-

Area = 1/2 × b × h

24 m² = 1/2 × 8 × h

24 m² = 8/2 × h

24 m² = 4 × h

h = 24 ÷ 4

h = 6 m

Hence, the height of the triangle is 6 m

★Verification :-

Area = 1/2 × b × h

Area = 1/2 × 8 × 6

Area = 8/2 × 6

Area = 4 × 6

Area = 24 m²
