Let the height of tower be x
∴ The distance of the foot from the point is also x
Let the angle of elevation be ∅
∴ tan∅ = Perpendicular/Base
⇒ tan∅ = x/x
⇒ tan∅ = 1
∴ ∅= 45°
Since tan45°=1

let AB= height of tower =x
and BC=distance =x
and angle=a
then tan a=perpendicular/base=AB/BC
=x/x=1. (tan45°=1)
tana=tan45°
a=45°
hence angle of elevation is 45°
hope it will help you
