it is given that, The height of TV tower at a certain place is 245m. Let, h = 245

use formula, $x_{max}=\sqrt{2hR}$

where, h denotes the height of TV tower at a certain place, $x_{max}$ denotes the maximum distance upto which TV program can be received and R denotes earth's radius.

now, R = 6400 Km = 6.4 × 10^6 m

and h = 245m

so, $x_{max}=\sqrt{2\times245\times6.4\times10^6}$

= 56 × 10^3 m = 56km

hence, the maximum distance upto which its program can be received= 56km
