Use the formula R=√2(Ht×Re)
where Ht= height of transmitting tv tower.

it is given that, The height of TV tower at a certain place is 245m. Let, h = 245
use formula,
where, h denotes the height of TV tower at a certain place, denotes the maximum distance upto which TV program can be received and R denotes earth's radius.
now, R = 6400 Km = 6.4 × 10^6 m
and h = 245m
so,
= 56 × 10^3 m = 56km
hence, the maximum distance upto which its program can be received= 56km
