12

Solution

Length of shorter tree = 12

Length of longer tree = ?

The shorter tree is smaller in length, so in 3 and 1 the smaller number is 1. So,

→ 1(x) = 12

→ 3x = 12 × 3 = 36

Therefore, Length of taller tree = 36 metres.
