Answer:

Height is 0.7 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

The height of water inside a rectangular cuboid of length 8 cm and width 6 cm is 2 1/2 cm. This water is poured into an empty cylindrical tank of diameter 14 cm

To Find :-

Height of cylinder

Solution :-

We know that

Volume of cuboid = l × b × h

Volume = 8 × 6 × 2(½)

Volume = 48 × 5/2

Volume = 24 × 5

Volume = 120 cm³

Now

Volume of cuboid = Volume of cylinder (In this case)

So,

Volume of cylinder = 120 cm³

Radius = Diameter/2

Radius = 14/2

Radius = 7 cm

120 = πr²h

120 = 3.14 × (7)² × h

120 = 3.14 × 49 × h

120 = 153.9h

120/153.9 = h

0.7 = h
