The heights of 6 girls in a group are 142cm, 150cm, 154cm, 146cm, X cm, 148cm and their average height is 147 cm.Then find the value of ‘X’.

Let the height of 6th girl be x

Mean = Sum of heights / No. of girls

148 = 142+154+146+145+150+x / 6

148 = 737+x / 6

737+x = 148 X 6 = 888

737+x = 888

x = 888-737 = 151

Height of 6th girl = 151cm
