The Deccan Plateaus are located in the State of Kerala. The highest peak in Deccan Plateaus is called the Anamudi, which is a malayam word which literally translates to ''Elephant's Forehead''Anamudi is 2,479 metres high and is the also the highest peak in Western Ghat of India and actually all of South India. Anamudi lies in a National Park with a thriving wild life of Bengal tigers and Asian Elephants and a rare kind of frog located in the region
