let the base be x cm and height be 1/3 x..... area of parallelogram = base * height
192 = x *1/3x
x square = 192 *3
x square = 576
x = 24 cm
height = 1/3 *24 = 8
base = 24 cm :)

Answer:

height = 8 cm

base = 24 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the question

let the base of a parallelogram, b = x

and the height of a parallelogram, h = \frac{x}{3}

Area of a parallelogram, A = 192\ cm^{2}

We know that

Area of a parallelogram, A = b x h

192 = x\times \frac{x}{3}

192\times3 = x^{2}

576 = x^{2}

\sqrt{576} = x

x = 24

and \frac{x}{3} = \frac{24}{3} = 8

height = 8 cm

base = 24 cm   (Answer)
