The Himalayan rivers are perennial while those flowing in the southern parts of the country are not. why? Name one perennial and one river that dry up in some parts of the Year.

Perennial rivers are those which have water throughout the year like himalya rivers .they have water throughout the year because they are filled by water of rain as well as by melt of glacier.

Perennial rivers means river having water throughout the year. Source of Himalayan rivers is melting ice
Source of peninsular river is rainwater.
Example
Perennial = ganga
Dry = narmada
