Spiders live in a self made web known as spider web  these web are made by the spiders from proteinaceous spider web from it's organ know as spinneret.
These web  made by the spiders also serve them as the prey catching material which provide them nutrition .
although some spiders species don't use it to prey but most of the spiders do so.
