The honey bee leaves the ve and travels 2km before returning. Is the displacement for the trip same as the distance travelled ? If not why

No. 2 km is the distance traveled by the bee. Displacement is the shortest distance(the shortest dist. is when it travels in a straight line)  between the initial position of the bee and the final position(after travelling 2 km). That is, if the bee had traveled in the same direction in a straight line, then the distance becomes the same as the displacement. But a bee's path is never like that and is tangled!
