  • horizontal component of a=a cosx
  • vertical component of b=b sinx

(where x is the angle made by the vector with horizontal axis)

  • given,a makes 30° with the vertical, therefore,with horizontal it makes an angle 60° {90-30}
  • b makes an angle 30° with horizontal
  • now, by equating the equal components,we will get the answer
