The horizontal distance between two towers is 140 m. The angle of elevation of the top of the tower CD when seen from the top of tower AB is 30°. if the height of the tower AB=60m find the height of the tower CD.
take √3=1.73

given AB=60m

ABED is rectangle

ED=60m

AE=BD=140m

angleCAE=30°

from ∆CAE

Tan 30°=CE/AE

1/√3=CE/140

=140/√3=CE

CE=140/1.732

CE=80.831

CD=CE+ED

CD=80.83+60

=140.83
