So,
Sum of the distances covered by the tips in 1 day=
2 area of hour hand circle+2. area of minute hand circle.
=2πr^2+2πr^2
=2π(r^2+r^2)
=2×22/7(7×7+4.2×4.2)
=44/7(49+17.64)
=44/7(66.64)
=2932.16÷7
=418.88cm^2
