circumference of the circle produced by short hand=2πr=2×3.14×4=25.12cm
circumference of the circle produced by long hand=2πR=2×3.14×6=37.68cm
In 24hrs short hand completes 2 rotations and long hand completes 24 rotations
∴ the sum=2(25.12)+24(37.68)=954.56cm

Solution:
When long hand moves 60 minutes,it travels one full circle ie the perimeter say P ,
Then P=2*22/7*R=2*22/7*42=264(approximately)
the distance between 11:20 am and 11:55 am is 35 mins.
Here the hour hand moves for 35 minutes
i.e. 1/2 rd of 60 minutes
So 264/2 = 132
So the Ans is 132 cm
