Dissolved oxygen flactuations is influenced by three main factors:

i) Temperature    ii) Pressure     iii)Salinity

Dissolved oxygen refers to the amount of oxygen in a liquid or body of water that is existing as free molecules and not bonded in compounds.    

The dissolved oxygen quantity is important as it influences the type of organisms found in that water.  

Hourly flactuations of dissolved oxygen can be as a result of temperature flactuations.

Increase in temperature reducces the amount of dissolved oxygen liquids can carry. As temperature changes occur, falls and rises during the day, so does the amount of dissolved oxygen.
