The house belonged to Lencho and his family.

EXPLANATION:

  • This is taken from the chapter ‘A Letter to God’, in which a ‘poor farmer’ whose name is ‘Lencho’ writes a letter to the God stating the losses he had to bear because of the weather conditions that were responsible for his crop failure.
  • He hoped to get his lost money from God. The ‘postmaster’ saw his letter and decides to help him and he placed ‘some of his own savings in his envelope’. ‘Lencho’ was happy to get this money but he write another letter to God to send the rest of the money.
  • He was hopeful that once again his fields will be filled with eye fresh corn harvests and everything will be fine because of his firm belief in God.
