Answer: In the beginning, Tricki, being fat and lousy, did not show much motion. The dogs used to always play around. When Tricki showed lousiness, the dogs lost interest in him.
Answer: The reason for treating tricki as an unintresting object was because of the reason that tricki was hostile to his surroundings due to the absence of Mrs.Pumfrey.
Explanation: Tricki was originally handed over by Mrs.Pumrey to Mr.Herriot because she wanted tricki to become slim and fit again.But,soon enough Tricki as starting to miss Ms.Pumfrey and as a result he got depressed and did not react to his suroundings naturally i.e. by not indulging and playing with other dogs and not eating food properly.
