The household expense on fuel is reduced by the adoption of biogas observation
Answers
Biogas is a gas blend consisting of basically methane and carbon dioxide, produced during breakdown of organic matter. Since most agricultural and domestic waste are organic in nature, they form a very cheap, almost free source of biogas. Biogas is stored in tanks which routes this gas to individual stoves through regulators.
Other fuel such as kerosene, liquid petroleum gas and electricity used in households are expensive compared to biogas. Firewood is also used as fuel. Smoke emission from burning firewood causes pollution and is a health hazard.
reduction in household expenditure on energy. Consumption of liquefied petroleum gas declines by 6 to 7 kg per month. Time spent foraging for firewood declines by 85%. Without subsidies, the estimated payback period for a digester is 11 to 14 years.
