When Belinda reaches the Hampton Court Palace outside London, the Baron manages to cut a lock of her hair on his third attempt. He had always wanted to steal some of her hair. This action angers Belinda greatly. Clarissa who was the Baron’s partner in crime advises her to give up her anger and adopt the traits of good humor and sense, as well as moral qualities. However, this infuriates Belinda all the more and she initiates a fight to retrieve the lock of hair. In the confusion that follows, the lock of hair gets lost.

In the "Rape of lock", when the Balinda arrive at the Hampton court place the , the Baron somehow laid the hand and get the lock of her hair .But as the reaction of this stealing the Balinda become very angry and start to fight. The Accomplice of Baron , Clarissa try to cool her by giving some moral advices but the fights start between them for the lock of hair. This end fight make the confusion in which even the lock of hair got lost.
