Dear Student,

● Answer -

2.011×10^-3 hp

◆ Explanation -

# Given -

P = 15 cm Hg = 20000 Pa

dV/dt = 4500 cc/min = 75×10^-6 cu.m/s

# Solution -

Power of heart is given by -

Power = W / dt

Power = dV.P / dt

Power = dV/dt × P

Power = 75×10^-6 × 20000

Power = 1.5 W

HP of heart is -

HP = 1.5 / 746

HP = 2.011×10^-3 hp

Hope this helps you..
