Square of hypotenuse = sum of square of other two sides

17(17) = 8(8) + x(x)
x(x) = 225
x = 15cm

Answer:

H² + B² = P²----------------------by pythagorous theorem

suppose the length of side is x..then

according to the question..

17²-8²=x²

289-64=X²

X²=225

X=√225

X=15 ANS.

SO , the length of another side is = 15 cm.
