Hypotenuse=15cm
let base =9cm
altitude=?
H²=B²+A²
15²=9²+A²
225=81+A²
225-81=A²
144=A²
√144=12
A=12cm

Given - Hypotenuse and one side

Find - Length of other side

Solution - The length of other side is 12 centimetres

The given problem can be solved using Pythagoras theorem.

The Pythagoras theorem is as follows -

Hypotenuse² = Base² + Perpendicular²

Keeping the values in formula to find the value of other side.

15² = 9² + Length²

Length² = 225 - 81

Length² = 144

Length = ✓144

Length = 12 centimetres

So, the length of other side of triangle is 12 centimetres.
