the hypotenuse of a right angle triangle is 17 cm and the difference between the 2 sides is 7 cm find the perimeter

hypotenuse = 17 cm
let the two sides are x and y
x-y = 7
(x-y)² = 49
x² +y² - 2xy = 49
17²-49 = 2xy
240 = 2xy
xy = 120
(x+y)² = x² +y² +2xy
          = 289 +240
x+y = √529
x+y = 23
perimeter = x+y+17
perimeter = 23 +17
perimeter of the triangle =40
