Answer:

shortest side =x

third side =x+7

hypotenuse =2x+1

According to Pythagoras theorm

h²=p²+b²

(2x+1)²=(x+7)²+x²

4x²+1+4x=x²+49+14x+x²

4x²+1+4x=2x²+49+14x

2x²+1+4x=49+14x

2x²-10x-48=0

2x²-10x=48

x²-5x=24

x²-5x-24=0

x²-x-4x-24=0

(x-8)(x-3)=0

x=8

use x=8

hypotenuse =2x+1=2*8+1=17m

third side =x+7=8+7=15m

Glad I could help you.

Thanks.
