Let the One leg be x
So second leg is( x-5)
We know that
(side)²+ (side)²= (hypotenuse )²
x ²+(x-5)²=10²
x²+x²+25-10x=100
2x²-10x-75=0
x= -(-10)±√ 100-4(-150)/2(2)
=10±√100+600/4
=10±√700/4 [ √700= 26.4≈26 ]
=10±26/4
=36/ 4 or -16/4
Sides of a triangle are never negative.
so x=36/4=9
x-5=4
The dimensions of triangle are 4*9*10
So second leg is( x-5)
We know that
