Question -

The hypotenuse of a right triangle is 10 cm and the base is 6 CM . Find its perpendiculars length .

Answer -

Given : The length of Hypotenuse is 10 cm

The length of base is 6 cm

To find : The length of the perpendicular

Solution :

By Pythagoras theorem we can find the value of its perpendicular or height .

According to the Pythagoras theorem we have ,

( Hypotenuse )² = ( Height )² + ( Base )²

\mapsto\:10^2\:=\:Height^2\:+\:6^2

\mapsto\:100\:=\:Height^2\:+\:36

\mapsto\:100\:-\:36\:=\:Height^2

\mapsto\:64\:=\:Height^2

\mapsto\:Height\:=\:\sqrt{64}

\boxed{\mapsto\:Height\:=\:8}

What is Pythagoras theorem ?

Answer : The Pythagoras theorem states that the square of Hypotenuse of a right triangle will be equal to the sum of square of both sides .
