by Pythagoras theorem

h^2=b^2+p^2

(13)^2=(5)^2+p^2

169=25+p^2

169-25=p^2

144=p^2

√144=p

p=12

USING PYTHAGORAS THEOREM

 {13}^{2}    =  {5}^{2}   +  {x}^{2}

169 = 25 + x^2

 {x}^{2}  = 144 \\  x = 12

this is your answer
