h²=p²+b²
(17)²=(8)²+(b) ²
289=64+b²
b²=225
b=15 cm

 {(p)}^{2}  +  {(b)}^{2}  =  {(h)}^{2} \\   \\  {(8)}^{2}   +  {(b)}^{2}  =  {(17)}^{2}  \\  \\ 64 +  {b }^{2}  = 289 \\  \\  {b}^{2}  = 289 - 64 \\  \\   {b }^{2}  = 225 \\  \\ b =  \sqrt{225}  \\  \\ b = 15
Third side = 15cm
