Let the length of shortest side=x Hypotenuse =2x-1 Third side=x+1 Hypotenuse square = sum of the squares of other two sides (2x-1)^2=x^2+(x+1)^2 4x^2-4x+1=x^2+x^2+2x+1 4x^2-2x^2-4x+1-2x-1=0 2x^2-6x=0 2x(x-3)=0 x=0 or x-3=0 Therefore x=3 Shortest side=x=3 Hypotenuse=2x-1=2*3-1=5 Third side= x+1=3+1=4
