Let ∆ ABC be right-angled at C.

Let AB=26 cm and BC=10 cm

Then, by pythagoras' theorem,

AB^2=BC^2+AC^2

=>AC^2= (AB^2-BC^2)

=(26^2-10^2)cm^2

=(676-100)cm^2

=576 cm^2

AC=√576 cm=24 cm
