The hypotenuse of aright angled triangle exceeds one side by 1cm and the other side by 18cm. Find the lengths of the sides of the triangle

and other side = a + 1
Now according to phythogarus

Hyptenus^2 = ( a + 1 ) ^2 + 324
a^2 - a^2 - 1 - 2a = 324
2a = - 324
a = - 16.25 cm hypotenuse
and other side
=- 15.25 cm
