let the shores side =x
hypotinues =2x-1m
third side=x+1m using Pythagoras theruem
third side square+second side square =hypotinues square
x×x×x×x+1×1=2x×2x+1×1
x4=4×x2
x4÷x2=4
x2=4
x×x=2×2
x=2
thanks

Answer:

Let the shortest side = A m

So,

Hypotenuse = 2A -1

And Other side = A + 1

Hypotenuse² =  Shorter side² + third side²

(2A - 1)² = A² + (A + 1)²

4A² + 1 - 4A = A² + A² + 1 + 2A

4A² - 2A² = 2A + 4A

2A² - 6A = 0

A² - 3A = 0

By Sridharacharya Method,

A = [-(-3) ± √(-3)² - 4(1)(0)] / 2(1)

A = [3 ± √9] / 2

A = [3+3] / 2   or   [3-3] / 2

A = 3    or   0

since  side cannot be o

So, A = 3

I do both solutions because of Maths criteria
