ANS:: Let ABC be a right angled triangle

hypotenuse AC=13cm

AB=5cm

and BC=?

Using pythagorous law

AC^2 = AB^2+BC^2

BC^2 = AC^2 -AB^2

BC^2 = 13^2 - 5^2

BC^2 = 169 - 25

BC^2 = 144

BC. = root over on 144

BC. = 12

Therefore length of other side BC = 12 cm
