The hypotenuse of triangle is (17)sqa long. If one of the remaining two sides is (8)square cm in length. Find the length of the other side

apply Pythagorean theorem, subtract 64 from 289,you get 225.the square root of 225is 15...so the length of other side is 15cm

Use Pythagoras theorem.
Acc to this
Hypotenuse²=base²+perpendicular²
17²=8²+p²
P²=289-64
P²=225
P=15
