The image formed by concave lens for all position of the object placed in front of it is always erect and diminished. Justify this statement​

Answer:

When the image for all positions of an object is always erect and diminished, the lens must be concave. In fig A'B' is erect and diminished image of AB, formed by a concave lens. By convention, focal length f of the lens is negative.
