the image of an object formed by a convex lens is of the same size as that of the object if the image is formed at a distance of 50 cm from the lens at what distance from the lens is the object placed find the focal length and the power of the lens used​

The object is placed 50 cm in front of the lens and the image is formed 50 cm behind the lens. The object is located at the centre of curvature of the lens C1 and the image is formed at the centre of curvature C2.

As the object and image are both at their respective centres of curvature, the image formed is of the same size as the object as shown by the following ray diagram
