the image of an object formed by a convex lens is the same size of an object if the image is formed at a distance of 50 cm from the lens what is the distance from the lens is object placed find the focal length and the power of the lens used​

The condition given in the question is possible only when the object is placed at "2f(1)"

(i.e size of image =size of object)

Similarly, image distance = object distance =50cm

Since image distance is equal to 50cm

f=v/2(image formed at 2f(2) which is equal to 2f)

f=+50/2 (since convex lens)

f=25cm

Next, P=1/f in m and P=100/f in cm

So, P=100/25 (sice f is in cm)

Power = 4D

Answer: The image is formed at 2F. It is real and inverted.

They could also both lie on the lens itself, so both distances would be zero. Then we get M= +1
