for real image ,

Let u=-x, thenv=-2x

∴ Solving, we get x=30cm, For virtual image , Let u=-x, then y=+2x

∴ Solving, we getx=30cm

For virtual image,

Let u=-x, then v=+2x

∴(12x)+(1-x)=(1-20)

or, x=10cm.
