Solution :-

We know that, when coordinates (x,y) is reflected across the y - axis, the coordinates of the reflected point will be :-

  • (-x , y) .
  • The y-coordinate remains the same .
  • The x-coordinate is transformed into its opposite (its sign is changed).

So, taking (-7) as x and 5 as y we get,

→ The image of the point (−7, 5) in y axis = x - coordinate changes , y remains same = (7, 5) (a) (Ans.)
