C and D solutions are alkaline in nature. (option c)

  • By pH scale we can determine the nature of a solution in the following way -
  1. If pH of a solution is greater than 7 then it is alkaline in nature.
  2. If pH of a solution is less than 7 then it is acidic in nature.
  3. If pH of a solution is equal to 7 then it is neutral in nature.
  • Now, among the given solutions (A,B,C and D) only C and D solutions have a value of pH which is greater than 7.
  • That's why, solution C and solution D are alkaline in nature.
