Globalization is the process of rapid integration or interconnection of countries across the world. But, the impact of globalization has not been uniform -

1)The wealthy consumers of urban areas now enjoy a wide variety of goods of better quality at a very low cost due to increasing competition among manufacturers.

2)The big industries or the Multinational Corporations(MNCs) have been able to set up their production centres and marketing branches in various parts of the world. This has led to rapid expansion of such companies.

3)The impact on local or small producers is not very pleasant. They are unable to compete with the high quality foreign goods and hence they have to close their business es. This is the reason for many small workshops and industries to close down.

Therefore, we can see that while globalization has been good for some people(big industries, urban people, etc), we can also see that it has made the condition of some people(small or local producers, etc.) worse.
